The client initially approached us having already obtained the building permit for the rear addition and second story above the garage, with construction in its preliminary stages. Upon reassessment, the client recognized that despite significant investment in stripping the structure to its core, the envisioned outcome lacked the desired impact. Following several consultation sessions, we proposed a solution involving the retention of the existing foundation, including the newly poured foundations for the rear addition, while constructing an entirely new dwelling above to meet the client's aspirations. The outcome yielded a striking main floor characterized by high ceilings, a spacious open-concept kitchen/family room boasting panoramic views of the beautiful backyard, and a refined staircase complemented by a skylight above. The second story comprised four bedrooms, each featuring walk-in closets and ensuite facilities. Abundant natural light permeated the space through expansive windows, further enhancing its luminous ambience.
